Hey Lady! Welcome to another empowering episode where we delve into breaking free from mental barriers that hinder our personal growth and success. Today, we are unpacking wisdom shared by Dr. Sherunda Simone on the Grown Lady Chat talk show in EP 119.
The Power of Right Perspective
Thought Process #1: "If it was meant to be, I would have it by now."
Our lives are like seeds; they need nurturing, time, and support to grow into the beautiful plan that God has intended for each of us. We must remember that patience and collaboration are key components of our journey. Just as a seed doesn't question its time to flourish, we should trust in God's timing and seek help from others to bridge our knowledge and resource gaps.
Let's visualize our growth as a beautifully orchestrated masterpiece, with each of us playing a vital role in the bigger picture. By embracing the fact that we don't have to navigate life's complexities alone, we open ourselves up to endless possibilities and opportunities for growth.
Thought Process #2: "I don't want to be a burden to others."
Asking for help is not a sign of weakness; it's a sign of strength and wisdom. Realize that iron sharpens iron, and seeking guidance and support from others is an integral part of sharpening our own abilities and fostering personal development. Holy Spirit is our greatest ally, guiding us to the right people who can aid us on our journey to success.
Remember, you are not a burden but a blessing waiting to be shared with others. Embrace the community around you, for it with unity and collaboration that we can achieve our greatest potential. You are not an island.
Embracing Growth Mindset and Support
Thought Process #3: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
While this saying may hold true in some cases, if something is not working, we need to change it. The world is constantly evolving, and the way we approach problems is rapidly changing. Just because you're used to doing something a certain way doesn't mean it's still serving a purpose.
Think of senescent cells in the body - cells that have matured and aged, no longer dividing and growing. These "sleeping" cells can lead to delayed or non-healing of a bone fracture. Similarly, we don't want to have "senescent" thought processes or strategies in our lives that are holding us back from progress and growth.
Conclusion
In this episode, Dr. Sherunda Simone has challenged us to examine the three thought processes that may be restricting our progress: the belief that if it was meant to be, we would have it by now; the fear of being a burden to others; and the reluctance to change what's "not broken." By overcoming these mindsets and being open to new ways of thinking and approaching our goals, we can unlock our full potential and live out God's purpose for our lives. This is Christian mindset and motivation.
Good afternoon, such good advice and a good reminder that God has a plan for us. I’ve learned over the years that God whispers to us a part of His plan for us and we start talking about it to everyone. Sometimes we reveal His plan before it’s time, you can’t see the baby before it’s time it’s hidden until it’s time, same with the whisper keep it close until God tells you who to tell or ask help from. I believe Moses knew he was born to free his people but he jump in before God told him and he killed a Egyptian soldier, then ran away. That fleshly move cost him 40 more years until God revealed His…
